I’m curious as to why aligners or Invisalign more expensive than braces. Is the material used more expensive? If it is more costly, then is it more effective than braces?
In US dollars, traditional braces typically cost about $2,500 to $6,000. Invisalign, on the other hand, tends to be more expensive at an average cost of $3,500 to $8,000. But I think for aligners they are less expensive than Invisalign.

Invisalign is usually equal or slightly higher than traditional braces. Mostly it costs more because of the software or technology used by the providers.
The final price of aligners or braces will depend on how severe your teeth alignment problems are. While for aligners only, the number of trays that you may have to use throughout your treatment process is also considered.
I think aligners cost more because you change trays every two weeks. With braces, the brackets that you use are there on your teeth for the total course of your treatment. You only need to change the wires and rubber every month. Braces generally cost less because I think the brackets cost less than the plastic of the aligners.

I see. I was told that I will have at least 24 trays. So I guess that’s a year of aligner trays.
You can get from 20 to 50 sets of trays. depending on the complexity of your teeth.
