In short? It’s kind of a complicated explanation. haha I hope someone can briefly explain this. I would really want to know about this “dissolving jawbone.” I couldn’t understand any article I read online.

Did you know that placing pressure on your teeth changes your jawbone surrounding these teeth?
This process is allowed by new bone which grows into place to support the new teeth, while the old bone dissolves. Placing pressure on a single tooth will also cause the jawbone to adapt, allowing the tooth to move. The amount of movement is dependent on the amount of pressure which is used.
As the tooth moves forward, pressure will cause the ligaments to shrink and bone to dissolve. Ligaments on the opposite side will also stretch as the tooth moves away, and new bone will grow. This new bone growth will help fill the gap behind the shifting tooth, as well as support the tooth in its new position.
